Capricho do Destino
Belmonte e Amaraí
Whim of Destiny
After three years of being married
They had a little boy they dreamed of so much
For a while, they lived happily
Then cruelly, they both parted ways
He left for somewhere far away
And they never knew where he went
She was left alone with her crying son
Missing her partner so deeply
One day, though, very tired
Of the sad torment she was going through
She gave up her nobility for false hope
Started living only for the nightlife
The boy was left in sad neglect
Far from her arms, without her affection
While his parents went their separate ways
He grew up lost on a bad path
And it was one night when the night train
Stopped at that station
A passenger pulled out a gun
And without mercy, shot a thief
Among the crowd that gathered there
She went too to see what happened
And with great shock, she found lifeless
On the platform, her fallen son
Like a madwoman, crying and screaming
She turned her eyes to the criminal
And in that moment, she recognized
That man was her husband
Such is the whim of deceptive life
That destiny shows in real scenes
Children who grow up abandoned
Pay for the mistakes their parents made
