Noite Sem Luar

I saw the blue horizon fainting in the afternoon
And the night approaching
Filling the loneliness of the sea with sadness
Stealing the twilight light from nature

Alone in my garden, I pondered to see
In the moonless night
The candle sailing the vast ocean
Taking my beloved beyond

Then came the longing and I cried
Later, with tears in my eyes, I swore
