Mi Despedida
Beto Y Sus Canarios
My Farewell
When I leave this earth,
And start a new path,
Let them deck it out with gunfire,
My farewell to this world,
So I won't hear the crying,
Of my women in mourning,
Give a send-off,
To the man who was their master,
I know they'll never forget,
The nights that chased away sleep,
Even though some are married now,
They made me taste the forbidden,
Let the toughest show up,
From the streetwise crew,
Those heavy hitters,
Who know how to enjoy life,
Let’s throw a big party,
I don’t want anything simple.
Some ranch-style vibe,
With boots and a cowboy hat,
Instead of a bouquet of flowers,
Bring only the good weed,
And to the beat of a cumbia,
Let the band start playing,
And for the buddies,
Who’ve been true friends,
Don’t cry or worry,
I’ll be just fine,
If they stick between my pillow,
Coke and bottles of wine,
I’m getting ready to say goodbye,
I’ll see you all later,
And those who carry on for me,
Don’t forget I was a party guy,
Bring me the best,
So I can enjoy it in heaven.
