La Mesera
Betty Y Fiorell
The Waitress
In a small inn
That looked like a restaurant
I went to get something to eat
Because I was hungry
You know hunger is tough
But tougher is the one who can endure it
A brunette approached me
Who was really good-looking
She told me she was at my service
I could order whatever I wanted
Sir, I'm here to serve you
I'm the waitress here
When I saw that young lady
My hunger disappeared
I told her to bring beer
And serve two chicken dishes
You sit with me
To have some fun for a while
I asked her if she was married
And she said: No, I live alone
But before you continue
Start the jukebox
Just put in a thousand pesos
Because it doesn't play by itself
I don't even know how many we had
Me and my friend, the waitress
The point is we even danced
Close to being drunk
We danced to the red car
And I think even to the camellia
After it got dark
I asked what time we were leaving
She answered softly
We didn't agree on that
But if you bring some dollars
We'll even dance a polka
