My love says they’re coming tomorrow morning
I scattered lavender bouquets all around the house
I made coconut candy and apple pie
Changed the sheets and wrote a poem
But sleep won’t come to rock me to rest
Heart racing from all this longing
And the relentless time that drags on
Impatiently, I wait for my love to arrive

Let the day come
Let the sun shine
The early morning makes me feel so alone
