With the most sublime love you have loved me,
by giving your life, you have saved mine.
Shedding your blood there on Calvary,
you have freed me from the power of death.

On a cross of pain and shame they nailed you,
your blessed forehead crowned with thorns,
you gave up your spirit and the act was completed,
when that soldier pierced your side.

But not even the tomb, Holy Jesus,
could hold you back and you have risen.
Overcoming death, raised by God,
you ascended to the heavens, seated next to Him.

Today I can say that You have bought me,
the price: the blood that You shed.
Your word does not change, you are by my side,
every day in my life You continue to work.

Faithful to your promise, you have not forsaken me,
you promised to return and I am waiting for you.
The trumpets will sound on that longed-for day
and I will depart to be forever by your side.
