La Vasca

The Tub
I wanna spend all day in a tub
With warm water pampering my head
One foot out getting slightly cold
Only leave when dinner's ready to be fed
Eating and drinking excessively
Without needing to tighten my belt
And tomorrow I won't even go to work
Won't even notice because silence is golden
I'll return to my friends in front of school
But won't go in, just cheer from outside
No one will fail, that's it
We'll all be together in the same tub
So big it's now a pool
We'll soak from night till morning
Now it's too full to stay
Better move us all to the sea
When it gets dark we'll light a big fire
Set up a big screen and a big game
And after various chases and fights
We'll all take a big midnight swim
I soak, I dive, I turn and relax
I soak, I dry off, and the fun begins
And I soak again, I dive back in, turn and relax
And I soak again, dry off, and the fun starts over
We'll be more than 100, almost 120
Friends, acquaintances, even relatives
With watermelon and cold Coca-Cola
With guitars telling us it's not French
We'll wait for the first morning light
Celebrate with croissants and cappuccino
And when tired we'll sleep on the sand
Our rooms carved in the mist
But we'll sleep just enough
To wake up and dive back into the tub
I soak, I dive, I turn and relax
I soak, I dry off, and the fun begins
And I soak again, I dive back in, turn and relax
And I soak again, dry off, and the fun starts over
I wanna spend all day in a tub
With my thoughts at peace
One foot out like a flag
Only leave when it's spring outside
But I hope this fantasy of mine
Isn't just another utopian dream
Because there's still no medicine
To turn my tub into a pool
Let alone turn everything into the sea
But someone should invent it
I soak, I dive, I turn and relax
I soak, I dry off, and the fun begins
And I soak again, I dive back in, turn and relax
And I soak again, dry off, and the fun starts over
