EL POEMA
Brock Ansiolitiko
THE POEM
It's a Big Bang explosion
That's a sand erosion
It's God being the stigma
Of his supreme creation
It's the light that always signs
Like a sun that self-burns
It's man being an enigma
Of his own ecosystem
It's people's fear and source of pleasure
Another day that doesn't feel like yesterday
It's the girl who senses she's becoming a woman
And it's the Western girl who has stopped growing
It's the anchor without rivets of the paper boat
It's telling it to leave and writing 'stay'
It's the water when it rains with its tap dance
And it's the air that moves it where no one else sees
It's the Eiffel Tower and Pisa and the Peruvian Cuzco
The Giza pyramid sliding hands
It's the Great Wall of China and the Jordanian Petra
It's the Taj Mahal of India and the Roman Colosseum
They are the great wonders that precede the human
They are the blood, they are the splinter, they are the tyrant's chair
It's his time and his blade, the cigarette butt on the landing
An old man being young and Beethoven with a piano
It's the seed emerging from the green new leaves
Which in autumn are wounds and in summer are paths
They are small goodbyes, they are the big ones that remain
That's what life is about, that's what a poem is about
It's a decade, a year, it's a day, it's a minute
It's all the time I invested in knowing myself, bearing fruit
It's the smoke I tried to sell myself
It's the great luxury of the rebel who works while everyone else sleeps
It's the Yin filling a sea of tears for others
Being unable to take off the mask and not look back
It's the thirsty, dying Yang without breath
It's the tin man seeking his feelings
It's the ego game, it's the creed of a blind man
It's the want and can't, it's the refuse and fear
That book that always smells new when opened
It's leaving it for later without knowing if there's a later
Believing in truth, filling empty consciences
Swearing loyalty and always keeping my promises
Telling those craziness you'd never reveal
And even the purest soul has disgusting secrets
It's the hunger for knowledge, the taste of never too late
The nonconformist artist who does everything big
It's bringing down the stars, stirring heaven and earth
It's being a sinner and throwing the first stone
It's a love that has exceeded all my expectations
A good friend who made me change perspective
With the soul undressed, breaking the schemes
That's what life is about, that's what this poem is about
