Dos Nombres

Two Names
At the foot of the tree by the river
Still find two names engraved,
They are the ones we engraved, yours and mine
That's what remains of our past.
Every time I pass by, I stay looking
At the root outside of the friendly tree,
Where I used to sit waiting for you, wishing
That you would arrive soon to join me.
Only two names were left written
Of what was once our joy,
When we were owners of that beautiful love
When you loved me and I loved you.
I remember you always came running
With your hair loose, kissed by the wind,
While I was dying of impatience
Because you arrived two minutes later.
We were the couple that loved each other the most
Two lovers united by destiny,
Today forgetfulness holds us in its arms
We no longer walk the same path.
Only two names were left written
Of what was once our joy,
When we were owners of that beautiful love
When you loved me and I loved you.
