El Temporal
Buhos
The Storm
Finally, I was laughing again
Trying to learn to live
Free like the ocean's waves
And I watched the moon
Sitting on top of a dune
In the darkness of your lighthouse
In the early morning
When they call it a night
I follow the trail
That you left me last night
My boat
Is way too tired
When a knot loosens
You tighten it again
You come back to me
Like the warm breeze
Slowly
Like waves at the harbor
You know it hurts me
You're like the salt
The helm slips away
I lose the map
And I'm stuck here
To avoid the storm
When the east wind blows hard
There's no rhyme that a poet
Can take a step with
Without you, I spend the hours
The waves are snitches
Telling me that you'll return
In the early morning
When they call it a night
I follow the trail
That you left me last night
My boat
Is way too tired
When a knot loosens
You tighten it again
You come back to me
Like the warm breeze
Slowly
Like waves at the harbor
You know it hurts me
You're like the salt
The helm slips away
I lose the map
And I'm stuck here
To avoid the storm
You know it rains on wet ground
You know the cats on my roof
Are like panthers
That today I have everything under control
Maybe tomorrow it will slip away
To the bottom of the sea
You come back to me
Like the warm breeze
Slowly
Like waves at the harbor
You know it hurts me
You're like the salt
The helm slips away
I lose the map
And I'm stuck here
To avoid the storm
