Clementina
Cachureos
Clementina
At the bottom of the sea
On a pretty little rock
Lived a big whale
Clementina was her name.
With a single sharp tooth
A hat with a flower
And big round glasses
To see better, you know.
She swam and splashed all around when she hit the wide sea
But no one got scared anymore when
Clem wanted to take a stroll.
At the bottom of the sea
On a pretty little rock
Lived a big whale
Clementina was her name.
I’m Clem, that’s what they call me
Everyone here in the water
I’m happy, I have a home
And I love to sing.
But there’s one thing that really pisses me off
They won’t let me in school
To go study,
I don’t get why they care about my 94 years
I still have eyes, I have ears, I have hands.
Oh, it’s so frustrating! I just want to learn to add.
I’m going to go, I’m going to insist
They’ll have to let me in
I’m going to go, I’m going to insist
They’ll have to let me in.
(three knocks on the door)
A clam opens the door
To school number forty
Clementina blushes
But she keeps insisting:
I want to talk to the teacher
Ms. Ruperta
To learn, because I want to be so wise!
And so our little whale, eager to learn
Managed to get accepted in 2nd grade B
She went with books and notebooks
To sit at desk 3
It was such a tiny desk
That she barely fit.
The octopus, the turtle, the salmon, and the perch
Were going to be Clem’s classmates
And seeing her so chubby in short pants
The sardine and the dolphin
Couldn’t stop laughing!
And that’s how, to learn
She was already a student in 2nd grade B
And that’s how, to learn
She was already a student in 2nd grade B.
