In a canyon in the mountains
there's a ranch forgotten
they declared war
men who lived peacefully
only women remain
they died by gunfire
On the north side the Perez
on the south side the Garcia
because of the women
that both sides desired
little by little they ended
those two dynasties
The very beautiful women
came to marriage
but now they walk in mourning
depicting the sad testimony
that through those lands
the demon roamed free
Not even the cornfield flourishes
the field is abandoned
not even the weeds grow
and all the cattle has died
and the river it seems
is also drying up
Only women remain
and hatred is killing them
on their faces they always carry
the mark left by tears
they remember their husbands
crying in the cemetery
