Polvo Maldito
Los Cadetes de Linares
Cursed Dust
Through the Bravo and its banks,
how many ballads have been written,
for Tamaulipas and Texas,
how there are men with crimes,
some traffic the 'herb',
others the cursed dust.
I'm going to sing you a case,
that will go down in history,
about a famous trafficker,
who they just took out,
his own son killed him,
without being able to remedy it.
In Hidalgo County,
he paid for all his crimes,
the American government,
sent his son without knowing,
to be taught,
by the lawmen who were five.
Arriving at the precise point,
they signaled him to stop,
but he didn't want to surrender,
and managed to kill four,
but upon recognizing his son,
he raised his hands in surrender.
There was no time to think,
that young man shot,
and as he was about to finish him off,
he recognized him,
kneeling and crying,
he shouted 'forgive me'.
'What do you want me to forgive you for?'
he said before dying,
go tell the court,
that you are not guilty,
that the one responsible for this crime
has been the cursed dust.
