Time of Words

Every time the thought comes, it fades away
Every time I reach a point, I get lost
Every time I drink from the cup of fame
The rest of the words slip from my mind
And time is running away from me hard
Today feels like yesterday, everything's a blur
Everyone's lost in the fun
Lost in the shows, and the scene's a joke
There's no art to feed the soul
There's no one to engage my mind
There's no one to ease my heart
My heart's full
Full of wounds
Everything's empty
Everything's normal
Everyone's lost in the amusement
Everyone's shallow and showing off
Everyone's living for themselves, selfish
Everyone's got no thoughts but about the famous
With minimal effort, no justification, everyone sees themselves as a boss
Everyone wants to be big for nothing
Everything's a mirage, everything's dust
Everyone wants to be big for nothing
Everything's a mirage, everything's dust

Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words

I can't stand people anymore
Like sharks smelling blood
If you're kind, you'll get stepped on, and I'm the one carrying the burden
History taught me that life spins in a closed circle
Even the clock with its hands down might still be ticking
But the scorpion that stung my body is still here
Living in a vast desert where knowledge has no existence
Everyone's understanding, everyone's seeing, everyone's closing their eyes and sleeping
Everyone's holding onto something, letting its poison run through them
I drain my negative energy like bullets
Sometimes it hits me, sometimes it strikes my loved ones
So I bottle up the pain and it explodes inside me
I wished you were mine, but sadly I have nothing
But simple thoughts, easy, and with two bucks, innovation
And tonight there's a nightmare visiting me at the same time
Showing a film starring my failure, replaying every day
And when the screen goes black, I read a poem that says
You'll wake up an old person in a young body
In the shadow of a dream on a mountain of reproach
With eyes that have seen nothing but depression
Between me and myself, a hundred thousand accounts

Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words
Peace, peace, oh time of words

If you think you'll hold me accountable, think twice
You're just like my son, sorry, let me tell you a couple of things
One, don't try to judge me too much so you don't tire yourself out
Two, never compare my success to trashy, corrupt content
So before you judge me, look at yourself in the mirror
And know that the prison inside your head won't matter much to me
And my last piece of advice I'll give you
If you have advice for me, it's better to keep it to yourself.
