I was an abandoned house
God's light never shone on me
I was in the middle of the bush
Full of mosquitoes, cockroaches, and termites
All walls were ruined
No furniture, balcony, or garden
The roof almost collapsing
No power, endless darkness

And in this ruined state
I had a 'for sale' sign
On the sign it was written
If you fix me up, I can serve you!
Many passed by saying
Why do I want this old house
Without a door or window, looks like a ruin
Where only insects and bad things live

Many were discouraged
They stoned me and insulted me
Said things that didn't please me
And I thought it was my end

Then two buyers arrived
Interested in buying me
One wanted my good
But the other wanted to bring me down
Belial started to speak

And Jesus was just listening
To see what he was saying
What was coming, what he had to offer
He offered a lot of money
But had no right to eternal life
I could see he wasn't the heir
I'll listen to the next one offering

The crowd presented themselves
And said he was the master, the author of salvation
I'll turn the house into a mansion
Where the Holy Spirit will dwell

Without shovel, without cement
He renovated me from the inside
Turned on the light, blew out the candle
Opened the window to let in the wind
The wind removed the dirt
Cleaned the dust, lit the fireplace

The wind can't set wood on fire
But the work of the spirit
Works beautifully without anyone understanding
And this wind is passing through a fallen house
A damaged house, an abandoned house
Good for nothing
Where man looks and says: I don't even want to see

You'll have to see God make it happen
From an old house now being
God's dwelling place
