Abraão e Isaac
Canção & Louvor
Abraham and Isaac
It seems like I'm seeing the scene, the old man and the
Boy carrying the wood, going up Mount Moriah
Beautiful boy always obedient
Gorgeous hair always smiling in front as he walks
A little behind came a tired old man
Who was a bit weary of life, silent in thought
His white hair, broken heart
Making a request to God to sacrifice his son
In the middle of the mountain, the boy asks
My father Abraham, can I ask a question?
I see the wood, the fire, and the axe
Where is the lamb to be sacrificed, where is it?
The tired old man with such a noble look
Uses his faith, which is his strongest
My son, the lamb God will provide for Himself!
He may be weak, even stumbling and climbing the mountain
Called Moriah, he must climb the mountain where there is a sacrifice to be made
The more Abraham climbed, the more his faith grew
With the knife in hand to kill Isaac
But in his heart was the certainty that God would deliver
Arriving at the top of the mountain
The boy and the old man rest a bit but always thinking
And from stone to stone, the altar was being made
Slowly the altar was being raised, silently praying
I think Isaac looking and seeing
His father working and raising the altar, admiring
He untied the wood and placed it on the altar
Arranged it well for the fire to catch and not fail
Abraham sighs and ties Isaac
Lays him on the wood that is on the altar
Takes the knife and raises it high to sacrifice him
As the knife was coming down, God from heaven arose
Do not do anything else to your son, for now I know that you fear God
There is a ram caught for you to sacrifice
The angel left it to sacrifice
Sacrifice and thank for God Jehovah's deliverance!
If faith is small and the mountain is big
Do as Abraham, start praying and do not worry
The lamb God will provide for Himself
It is at the right time that God arrives and speaks
Shakes the believer back and forth
I tested you on earth, but the day has come to bless you
They are waiting for you at the foot of the mountain
Descend with victory to tell the world
For the blessing that God has prepared to give you is great
