Fala Jeremias

On the day He called me, I felt afraid
I didn't see myself worthy at all
To know His secrets
But He said He had chosen me
To be His prophet
And told me to do as He commanded
And announce in this land

And all the time I only spoke what He ordered
Many no longer do this, but I don't know
I just follow His word
And now look where I am
Inside this dungeon
I wonder to myself if it was worth it
If all the effort was worth it

And here inside my heart
I hear His voice calming me like a song
And He tells me: I will fulfill my word, I will save your soul
And make you sing

And I, as I lift my face
Trusting in what I heard
I see a crack of light emerging
Right in the center of that dungeon I look up
And a window opens bringing light
And hope in that darkness

Hold on to the ropes Jeremiah
Lean on these rags
So I don't hurt you
Let's get you out of there

And I can hardly believe
I can barely speak from how happy I am
I lean on the ropes and as they pull me
I can hear again what He told me one day

Do not be afraid of them, I am with you
I watch over my word to fulfill
I appoint you a fortified city, an iron pillar
A bronze wall, you are my son, let them try
They may even fight but they will not prevail
You know why? Because I am with you
Says the Lord to deliver you

I have never seen God forsake the faithful
Suffering left alone, for doing His will
It may seem despised
And that God has abandoned
But just wait and see

God has a way out, has a miracle
Has victory, has an answer
And in the trial He won't let you die
God unsettles, disturbs, takes away sleep
And if necessary sends angels to come to your aid

If they throw you into the dungeon, stay calm
For reinforcement comes from above, help is on the way
So rest assured, the best is yet to come
