Filho de Jessé
Canção & Louvor
Son of Jesse
Thus says your Lord
And Samuel listened
How long will you have pity on Saul
Since I have rejected him
And taken away from my plans
Forget about Saul because I, God, have already forgotten him
Fill your vessel with oil, and I will send you
And over the sons of Jesse, I have provided a king
And Samuel prepared himself and did what God commanded him
And walked in the right direction to Bethlehem of Judah
When you arrive at Jesse's, only do what I tell you
Just anoint and pour the oil on whom I point to
Let the first one come, Eliab passes, he is of good appearance
But God is not pleased
Let the second one come, Abinadab arrives
God thus rejects him and does not accept him
Let the third one come, Shammah presents himself
But God does not point, does not give a sentence
The seven sons pass, God does not respond
Does not show who it is and where to look
Samuel asks if there are only these
Jesse replies, the youngest is missing
He is in the field tending sheep
Not knowing he was the one God had chosen
Samuel rises and God shouts from there
This is the young man you will consecrate
Call him, no one sits at the table
Until he arrives
Thus says your Lord
I am your creator
And I chose this day to anoint you
For there are many who want
But few who serve
Who have a warrior soul to reign
I saw when you spoke
That you were good for nothing
The way was to get used to where you are
There are people better than me
Sing better than me
Preach better than me
Are always better than me
What is yours, is yours, is yours
And no one can take
You are not, you cannot, you do not have
But it is what God chose to reign
Today is the day of your victory
Today God anoints you and changes your story
Who saw you crying will see you smiling
Who saw you silent will see you sing a hymn
Who saw you in the trial will see you in the blessing
Who saw you in the little will see you in the much
And whoever saw the man reject you
Will see God exalt you and put you to reign
If there is another ahead, they will have to pass
The place is yours and no one will take it
But he is handsome, knows how to speak well
He is of the elite, he has money
If you do not come, God will come for you
It is better for you to come and kneel
Receive the anointing and sit at the table
To feast
To feast
