Quietude

The quietness of the silence of my heart
So many words want to start the explosion
They want to scream, vent, talk, say
Jesus, I need you
But the anguish I feel insists on silencing me
The intention of this silence is to suffocate me
But a groan of a whisper I can still express
Jesus, only You can help me

Then I remember that the Spirit is my intercessor
And that He knows how to interpret my pain
And that above all He is my friend
And so, my muffled groan gains a voice
And little by little I say what hurts me
And that's when I hear the voice of my friend

Why do you cry, and then suffer so much?
If I am your help, I can solve everything
From your present, I already know the future
And the paths I thought of are higher than yours
I already told you that afflictions you may go through
But I will be with you, holding your hand
It's just a valley, but the mountain is there
And the best is yet to come, for I am your provision
