Uma Parede

These days the Lord blessed me
And He defeated my enemies
Sennacherib thought he was greater
And he confronted me thinking I was alone

But on my knees I cried out in prayer
And to my God I made my request
And I told Him that the nation of Israel
Needed the greatest who is the king of heaven
And God who does not give His glory to anyone

Among His angels chose only one
And this same strong angel destroyed
Among the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand

But these days God allowed me to be hurt
And I don't understand what He wants from me
My hope is fading and there is no cure
Even praying, help does not appear to me
Everything is over now, I think it's the end

I hear a noise
It's the door opening
Could it be someone coming
With a cure for me?
It's the prophet Isaiah
God remembered me
Speak quickly prophet, I need to hear

Thus says the Lord: Put your house in order
For you shall die and not live

A wall and nothing more
To Hezekiah it remained
A wall, a prayer
Moved the hand of the Great I Am

Lord, my God, you know where I have walked
And that I have kept my heart from evil
Your truth is my direction
In your ways I have walked in righteousness

Return Isaiah and tell Hezekiah
Behold, I will add to your days fifteen more years
This shall be a sign to you from the Lord
That the Lord will fulfill this word He spoke

When God wills, He establishes and revokes laws
In His hands He controls history
Of those who are completely at His disposal
He raises up, gives health, gives victory, and makes promises

To restore the heart, He is in a hurry
And has a victory plan for you
For He commands the past, present, and future

He controls the world's machinery
Who can stop His hand?
And if He is great, why are you worried

If you have such a great God by your side
Who makes your days multiply
And even makes death retreat

You need it, He has to give you
You can't, He can help
And Jehovah commands your life
You are weak, He gives you strength
You are fallen, He lifts you up
He controls the world and still takes care of you
He owns everything and has double life
To give as a gift to you
