A Voz de Jesus

What sweet voice my Lord has
Voice of love, so tender and gracious
That fills the heart, gives consolation
That only the believer enjoys

What greater pleasure than to hear Him say
Come my child, come listen
To what I did for you, all that I suffered
On the cross to redeem you?

He called me not just once
So many times that I, sad, humiliated
Could hear the voice, could then escape
From the clutches of sin

Jesus doesn't let me suffer
His voice teaches me the way
To overcome evil, with such firmness
That I am never alone
