Amparo

In the hardships of this life, in rest and labor,
Give me strength in fatigue, and protect me, Lord!

Oh, Jesus, come protect me, guard me, out of compassion!
Oh, Jesus, come defend me, you are my salvation!

The wicked detest me, and want to destroy me;
But the angels surround me, they won't let me succumb.

Even if Satan attacks me, I will not falter;
Even if I lack power, through Jesus I will overcome.

When evil comes strong and fierce in life to assail me,
My Jesus, in my struggle, will surely sustain me.
