Ebenézer

Fountain of all blessings, come inspire me with song;
Gifts of God, that never cease, I want to praise in loud voice.
Oh, teach the new song of the redeemed from the heavens
To your servant and the holy people to praise you, good God!

Here my 'Ebenezer' I raise, for Jesus helped me;
And, by His grace, I hope to be transported to heaven.
I, lost, He sought me, far from my God, without light;
Stained and vile, He washed me with His blood, the good Jesus.

Debtor to your grace every day and hour I am;
May your care always make me love you, Lord.
Here is my wavering soul: take it, hold it with love,
So that it may, at every moment, glorify you, Lord.
