Quero o Salvador

I want the Savior with me;
Only with him can I walk;
I want to know him closely,
Resting on his arm.

I want the Savior with me,
For my faith is so weak;
His voice gives me comfort,
When my foot falters.

I want the Savior with me,
Day by day in my life,
In sadness, in work,
In conflict and in pleasure.

I want the Savior with me,
Wise guide and Good Shepherd,
Until passing beyond death,
Far from danger and pain.

Trusting in the Lord,
Comforted in his love,
I will follow my path,
Without sadness and without fear.
