Sou Pecador

Oh God, you’ve tested me;
No one can hide from you;
You know where I want to go,
You know how I’m gonna speak.

I’m a sinner; grant me forgiveness!
Hold my weak hand!
Guide my shaky feet, Lord,
And I’ll praise my Benefactor!

I live in the light of your gaze;
Lord, who can truly know
Your wisdom and your power,
When your knowledge is beyond measure?

In darkness and in bright light
Your divine hand guides me;
And if I try to run away,
I’m surrounded by your power.

You created me; by your hand
My limbs were formed;
The wonders of the Lord
Far exceed my praise.

Oh God of my salvation,
Search my heart, I pray;
Cleanse me, if there’s in me
Any offense against you.
