Cristo Volta

Christ returns shortly,
To be here in the world,
In place of suffering,
Majesty with power.
He returns, and in His glory
Shines the radiant light
Of that beloved day
Of Jesus' redeemed.

Christ returns! Christ returns!
To seek His people;
Christ returns triumphant,
To reign with power,
Christ returns! Christ returns!
Our beloved Savior.
Oh, what joy to see Him
As Lord over all!

Christ returns! No more sorrows,
No more tears, no more pain,
No more shadow of sin,
No more lack of strength.
He returns to glory
To lead His church,
To have her, then, with Him
In the heavenly future.

Christ returns! We do not know
On which day it will be,
But we are confident
That we will see His face.
The holy word affirms it,
And it cannot fail,
And so we will wait
To see Jesus return here.
