Quem Era Eu
Valeria Veras
Who Was I
Such great love made Jesus leave
His kingdom of glory
Thus exchanging the place of a king
For the place of a servant
He did not exalt himself even being God
He was not served, but came to serve
He did not despise, but was despised
By those he loved
In this way, He did not give up
On his mission
He healed the sick, raised the dead
By extending his hand!
They arrested him, they judged him
As if he were a thief
They beat and spat on his face
He endured such great humiliation
They placed a crown of thorns on him
And tore his clothes
They mistreated my master
And they beat him and beat him
And they smiled, and they struck
He was innocently wounded
And the guilty one was me
He carried the cross to Golgotha
They crucified him there
And at the end of the afternoon he died
Who was I, what am I
To deserve so much love
Being a sinner
He felt great compassion for me
On the third day
He rose again
Saving me from death
Jesus, is my Savior
In him I have the entrance
To dwell in heaven
Forever with the Lord
