House in the Country
I want a house in the country like Elis Regina,
Plant the records, the books,
And maybe a girl,
For me, they can even be more,
A love like my parents,
Days like the others,
Without all being the same.
A house in the country with the door always open,
Let friends come in,
Set off on adventures,
Have my big bed,
My favorite blanket,
And a disobedient dog,
On top of the covers.
I want a complete house
With a piece of land,
And with the space, I want the time,
To fall asleep on the grass,
Far from the concrete jungle,
I add that I want to cultivate more than just mere knowledge,
I want a garden on the other side of the door and I want the luck to be ready when death comes for me,
I want a door on the other side of death,
To have the strength of a strong woman when life chooses me.
I want a house in the country that smells of flowers and fruits,
Of gummies and candy,
Of sweets and juices,
Cooking for those who want to eat,
Eating like I know how to live,
With an appetite, I already said I don’t want to lose weight.
Eating with a soup spoon,
Making bread,
Hanging the laundry,
I pay no mind to the mouths that tell me to grow up,
I want to tear windows in the walls whose stones
I carry with the hands I use to write.
A house in the country with a fireplace and gentle fire,
That lights up all year,
The smile of the one I love,
I want a house in the country that could be in the city,
But it has to be real,
Even if it doesn’t have an address…
Where did you learn what infinity is?
It was on the back cover of a book by Anita
Tell me what your favorite perfume is?
Warm bread, wet earth, and basil
Come live with me
We’ll stick our bellies together
And we won’t be cold
In our strange place
A child, a book, a record, a tree.
