Zaqueu

Zacchaeus one day heard about
That the savior of Israel, in Jericho, would pass by
And deep in his heart
He ardently desired to meet the Lord
Behold, in the midst of the great crowd
Announcing salvation, Jesus appears walking
But so small was Zacchaeus that he climbed a tree
Just to see Jesus pass by

I joyfully did as Zacchaeus
I opened the door of my heart
And invited Jesus to come in
He never left my heart
He redeemed my poor soul
He could transform my life

Jesus, to the little one, commanded
Come down quickly, oh, Zacchaeus
I will stay at your house
Zacchaeus joyfully obeyed
In his house he received
Jesus who came to save

I joyfully did as Zacchaeus
I opened the door of my heart
And invited Jesus to come in
He never left my heart
He redeemed my poor soul
He could transform my life
