The Impenetrable

Listen to the sad note that a journalist had made
With a broken heart and the skin of the soul shattered
Considering myself a patriot
It seems unforgivable to me
If I am also responsible for accepting with cowardice
The painful agony that the impenetrable lives
Out there in the Chaco mountains
People die of hunger
Children, men, and women
Unable to fulfill their dream
Pain is king and master
And who dares to defy it
Death snatches and steals
Sowing the air with sorrow
Exterminating the veins that carry the toba blood

Already in the '20s
Don Luis Acosta García
Denounced in his poems the ordeal of those people
And faced with the imposing advance
Of this digital era
I feel that the term 'equality'
Is unnecessary in life
When there are malnourished people dying in a hospital
But millions appear
In important demands
For which before were advertisements calling for elections
While infections
And all kinds of viruses
Lead the weak and the strong from that futureless Chaco
Destined for the dark room
That leads them to death

What answers do those
Exploiters of the poor give us
When they make speeches about income distribution
Power has them prisoners
Of an insatiable ambition
Isn't it unfair and condemnable
That the children of pain
Do not know the taste
Of a glass of drinkable water

What to do with this helplessness
That we as a people feel?
If we have lost hope
Of equality and equivalence
Why so much indifference to a capable heart
Thus love and peace
Will be difficult to grow
While few get rich
Exploiting others
Thank God there are teachers
And priests with vocation
Who in tireless mission work as brave
You don't help the homeless with the shame of a bonus
It's not false what I preach
If there are judges who have proven
That there is an absence of the state which is therefore abandonment

Will they panic that
The tobas with shouts and spears
Enter to take revenge for the theft of their faith
But that time has passed
It remains in the countless history
Now what is palpable
Is that those from the ministry
Have taken their name 'the impenetrable' very seriously
