I'm gonna apologize
Right as I walk in,

With my rural upbringing
Bringing scents of lagoons
With the green of the rushes.
I'm quite restless
And overly upset,
About something that's happening
Within my society,
Someone who was in vogue
And hasn't been seen since,
They say that honesty
Has gone missing.
Who knows where it's gone

Now it's missed so much,
It's not seen around here...
Before, to do a deal
Paper was never used,
Because honesty was the guarantor.
Now comes Mr. corrupt
And he's become popular,
Showing the world
What impunity is,
It's a big family,

There are corrupt ones here
And corrupt ones there.
They hold important positions,
They even tend to govern,
They have a lot of intelligence
But in the service of evil.
They live off deals,

They say they're dishonest
Look at that atrocity.
I passed through a humble neighborhood,

I realized that there lives
The one I hadn't seen before,
I'm truly happy,
What joy it gives me,
