Grito de Guerra
Carlos Rivera
Battle Cry
The bitter words, the forgotten silences
The lies they told, to steal some pieces
How much land they raised, to show us their greatness
What they truly achieved, was to make us sad
And so much sorrow they give, they won't see us cry
How much are you worth, how much are you left with
They have taken everything from us, but they won't be able to take
The hope that one day, everything has to change
I shout from the heart, what do those cowards think
Who dare to command, if they don't know how much it's worth
To get up in the morning to go to work
A goodbye kiss, a candle to extinguish
To make a couple of wishes, that you might see come true
What do they know about being happy, if they don't know how to smile
They have taken from us, but they won't be able to take
The hope that one day, everything has to change
Let them dare to look us in the eyes
Let them dare to lock us up with a padlock
We have waited so long and we must not despair
Because everything that goes up, must come down someday
Let them dare to think they are eternal
They haven't realized, that they are sick
That we will all be here ready, to witness
The fall of their history and the path to their end
The path to their, end
Let them dare to think they are eternal
They haven't realized, that they are sick
And that we will all be here ready to witness
The fall of their history, only the memory of the pity they give
And the path to their end, the path to their, end
The path to their, end
