Ego sum abbas

I am the abbot of Cucaniensis
and my counsel is with drinkers,
and in the sect of Decius is my will,
and whoever seeks me in the tavern in the morning,
after evening will go out naked,
and thus stripped of clothing will cry out:

Woe, woe!
what have you done, most shameful fate?
You have taken away
all the joys of our lives!
