A Muralha

The Wall
A wall standing tall
Blocked Joshua from winning the fight
Impossible to break through the city surrounded
Big walls, strong guards, Jericho filled with delight
But there’s no wall that can stand strong
When God decides to move
Go, Joshua, you can relax
Surround that wall, and watch how I’ll prove
Joshua, young and chosen by God
Had learned from Moses to have communion with Him
He was bold, brave, and hard-working
And in the battles he fought, with God’s hand, he would win
But today is different, the obstacle is much greater
A wall surrounding Jericho, so strong and high in the Hebrew’s sight
For Joshua knew he served a God who is much greater
And that the wall would soon be dust
He heard God, and God spoke to him
Put the armed men in front, tell the people to get ready
This wall they’ll surround for seven days
For six days, have the priests blow their horns
But Israel must remain silent
On the seventh day, six laps, on the seventh, shout
And at the sound of the shout, the wall will come crashing down
And Joshua heard everything the Lord commanded, obeying His word
Maybe even without understanding
But the enemy put their trust in the wall
Mocking them, not giving it a thought
Not understanding God’s work
But on the seventh day, seven more laps to go
Without faltering, the people marching, horns blowing
And all of Israel trusting in God
On the last lap, the horn blew, the enemy mocked the crowd
Israel shouted, the earth shook, the wall standing tall was brought down by the Lord
The wall in your house has fallen
The wall in your life has fallen
The wall in your family has fallen, the strong wind has blown it away
The wall of neglect has fallen
What steals your peace has fallen
The wall at the job door has fallen, today this sickness has vanished
The wall of depression has fallen
This lack of forgiveness has fallen
The lack of unity has fallen
All disunity has disappeared
The wall has fallen, fallen, fallen, fallen, fallen, fallen, fallen
Today your God acted, acted, acted, acted, acted, acted, acted
The wall has fallen, fallen, fallen, fallen
The wall has fallen
The wall has fallen!
