I remember the past, my childhood
When I was a child, so full of faith
I used to pray almost every day
To the Virgin Mary, from Nazareth

The Mother of Jesus, who is also mine

Beloved little mother, I love you so much
It is for you that I sing, so many songs

Beloved little mother, I venerate you greatly
For everything I want, I find in your light
Being close to you, oh Mary
I know I am not far from the Lord Jesus

Time passed and I grew up
Also forgetting about your great love
The world made me believe in nothing else
I forgot about you, and Our Lord

Life's problems kept me away from you
My hands no longer came together
I had no desire to pray anymore
I started to drift away from holy prayer

You were always by my side
And I was never abandoned
Even when my heart denied you
I know you were with me

Today I don't have the same innocence
But I can feel Your presence
I ask for forgiveness, oh Virgin Mary
For the days when I forgot about you
