The bread of life, communion
Unites us with Christ and our brothers
And teaches us to open our hands to break, share the bread

In the desert, the crowd
Hungry follows the good shepherd
Thirsty seeks the new word
Jesus has mercy and shares the bread

In the new Easter of the new law
When He loved us until the end
He broke the bread and said This is my body
Given for you, take, eat!

If in this bread, in this communion
Jesus gives His own life for us
Let us also share the gifts
Give life for our brothers

Where there is hunger
Share the bread and your darkness will turn into light
You will find Christ in your brother
You will be blessed by the eternal Father

Not happy is the one who doesn't know how to give
Who doesn't learn the lesson from the altar
To open the hand and the heart
To give oneself in giving
