Nightfall has come
Taking over the sun

It spread its cloak
The eye of the moon
Started to watch
Gaucho lantern
In the darkness
Through the path
Moaning goes
A cart heading to town
Swinging from side to side
While sitting on the shaft goes

They say that over the hills,
Around nightfall, a ghost is heard moaning.

Camping a love
Through the hills goes
The soul of a gaucho
In the darkness
The old folks say,
Crossing themselves,
That he seeks a love

Old memories,
Of tradition,
