Batalha de Josafá

Moabites, get ready to face,
All who are with King Jehoshaphat.
They come armed, sure they will win,
For they were trained to never lose.
And they brought the news to King Jehoshaphat,
A great multitude is coming from across the sea.
What shall we do? If we fight, we won't win.
They have weapons and soldiers, we will perish.

But Jehoshaphat proclaims a fast,
No one eats, no one drinks until God answers us.
And on their knees, in the midst of the congregation,
King Jehoshaphat began to say:

"Ah, Lord, God of our fathers,
Are You not God in heaven?
For You rule
Over all the kingdoms of the Earth.
And in Your hand is strength and power.
And in us, Lord!
In us there is no strength,
Before this great multitude coming against us.
And we do not know what to do,
But our eyes are on You.

And after all the people began to worship,
A glory appeared in the congregation.
God took Jaaziel and began to speak,
Listen, all Judah, to the voice of God.

And Jaaziel said: "Listen, all Judah and you,
Inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, oh King Jehoshaphat.
Thus says the Lord: Do not fear, do not be dismayed
Because of this great multitude.
For the battle is not yours, but God's,
You will not have to fight in this battle.
Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord,
For you."

And God Himself decreed,
Call the Levites and put them in front to praise.
Put away all weapons, I will act differently,
Your work today is to worship.

While they praised,
God set ambushes against the enemies.
While they praised, God delivered the people from danger.
While they praised, God made the army self-destruct.
And how beautiful it is when the Almighty begins to act.

It was the people praising and God warring,
Jehoshaphat winning, the people triumphing.
And the enemies, all confused, begin to perish.

There are no Moabites, no Ammonites,
No one resists, no one persists.
Jehovah in the war, no one can stop, you will win.
You will win, you will win, God is in the battle,
You will win.
Start praising, put away all weapons,
You will win.
