Si no me veo no me creo
Celtas Cortos
If I don't see myself, I don't believe it
Once I went on vacation
a few days to Italy with friends from Madrid
and there I saw the strangest things...
on any given day that I got lost alone.
It started when I got on the wrong bus
on the way back to the campsite
and I ended up in a shady place
where everyone looked at me like a wild boar.
I asked and a kind man told me
"To get back, boy, come this way"
when suddenly he pulls out a knife:
"Give me the money or I'll slit your head."
And seeing that I had nothing
he took me down a gray alley,
then I saw a car starting up
and I ran and jumped inside.
The people in the car were very scared
which caused the driver to die,
we fell down a ditch,
breaking our heads and also our sternum.
Four days after being in bed
I finally woke up from the shock
and the only thing I saw was a nurse
who fell in love with me.
She took care of me as if I were her son
until I left on my own feet,
at which point she said to me:
finally you and I are the parents, this child is yours.
The child gives me and I don't understand anything,
he runs off and leaves the hospital,
and in Jamaica I don't know what language they speak,
the child smiles at me, he will learn Spanish.
And finally a policeman appears
I ask if he can help me,
finally at the police station
I am arrested for kidnapping and not having my ID.
Weeks after this mishap
the kidnapping was cleared up
but not the ID issue
resulting in three days in the slammer
where I met a cool group
at least they were chill.
Forty days after everything
I swam near Irún
from there hitchhiked home
what joy, what a commotion, and another twist of fate!
My mom "What did I think,
what a boy he was,
what he was doing all day out there".
The friends I left hanging
"What a bad friend,
they won't go out again".
So you see guys, that's life,
never sneak onto the bus,
as it's the beginning of a sad story
where the protagonist is only you.
Where the protagonist is only you.
