Canto Dos Livres
Cenair Maicá
Song of the Free
If my destiny is to sing, I sing
My world is more than crying, I don't cry
Life is more than weeping, it's a dream
With colorful nuances
There are those who sing misfortunes of love
For convenience pleasing the masters
But those who live singing without a boss
Touch the strings of their heart
Who sings refreshes the soul
Singing sweetens life
That's how I live singing
To alleviate my suffering
I wish one day to sing with the people
A simple song of love and truth
That doesn't speak of miseries or wars
Nor need to cry out for freedom
I wish to have the joy of birds
In the symphony of dawn
To sing to announce when the rain comes
And warn that night is falling
And when spring arrives with flowers
Sing a hymn of peace and beauty
Far from the prison of men and hunger
To never sing sadness
In the singing of those who are free
There are melodies of peace
Horizons of tenderness
In this poetry of walking
Who sings refreshes the soul
Singing sweetens life
That's how I live singing
To alleviate my suffering
