Zamba de Las Tolderias
César Oliveira e Rogério Melo
Zamba of the Tolderias
Sadness rising
From the depths of traditions
From the tent I bring this zamba
Like a rumble in war parties
With a strong nostalgia
Of a burned ranch
Of spears and bolas
And stolen women
I gave my blood to the land
Like the cowboy in the forts
That's why my zamba has
The sound of bugles
Clamor of the war parties
Heat of the tent settlements
Toasted by indigenous loves
Coppery is my land
Advance from afar
Of long-suffered time
My zamba keeps advancing
From the tent where it was born
I gave my blood to the land
Like the cowboy in the forts
That's why my zamba has
The sound of bugles
