His Youth
When one holds in their hands, this wealth
To be twenty, with tomorrows full of promises
When love leans over us
To offer us its sleepless nights
When one sees far ahead, life laughing
Embroidered with hope, rich in joys and follies
One must drink to intoxication
His youth!
For every moment
Of our twenties
Is numbered for us
And never again
Does lost time
Confront us
It passes!
Often in vain we reach out, and we regret
It's too late, nothing stops it on its path!
We cannot keep forever
His youth
Before smiling and leaving our childhood behind
Before knowing it, youth escapes
It seems so short that we are all surprised that before understanding
We leave existence
When one holds in their hands, this wealth
To be twenty, with tomorrows full of promises
When love leans over us
To offer us its sleepless nights
When one sees far ahead, life laughing
Embroidered with hope, rich in joys and follies
One must drink to intoxication
His youth!
For every moment
Of our twenties
Is numbered for us
And never again
Does lost time
Confront us
It passes!
Often in vain we reach out, and we regret
It's too late, nothing stops it on its path
We cannot keep forever
