La Lógica Del Escorpión
Charly García
The Logic of the Scorpion
Now I'm gonna tell you about a scorpion
This scorpion wanted to cross the river
And he asked the frog to give him a ride
(No!), said the frog
(If I let you climb on my back, you might sting me)
(And a scorpion's sting is deadly)
(Well), replied the scorpion
(Where's the logic in your words?)
(Scorpions always try to be logical)
(If I sting you, you die and I drown)
Hearing these words, the frog was convinced
And let the scorpion climb on her back
But when they were halfway across the river, she felt a terrible pain
And realized
Despite everything, the scorpion had stung her
(Logic!), screamed the dying frog as she started to sink
Dragging the scorpion down into the waters
(There’s no logic in this!)
(I know), replied the scorpion
(But I couldn’t help it, it’s just my nature)
Let’s drink to nature.
