Broken
Ransacking and confessing the mistakes
That drown me inside and don't let me see
I'm scratching the corners and digging into my chest
The songs that I already forgot
Mocking the mirror
Under my breath and from afar I manage to read in my eyes
That beyond the smile there's a little one warning me
That things aren't really all that fine
And you have to look closely, don't look away
Looking at the sky to recycle comfort
I imagine in reflections the silhouette of god
And it spat on me with a hailstorm
It did as it pleased and didn't ask for forgiveness
Stumbling with shame and patience
I sat alone to smoke on the curb
And I was killing off one by one
The untimely evils
That trap me in reflection
And you have to look closely, don't let them come back
And messing up my appearance
I painted my sneakers earth-colored with a hint of dampness
Walking through the passageways
Between rounds and other journeys
To undo the loneliness
And painting big walls
The doors and gates
I was writing everything in spray paint
To leave a mark of a dream
With an air and a design
That tells you I want you to come back soon (please!)
It's late, I know
I also know that it's gone
