El Gato Viudo
Chava Flores
The Widowed Cat
When the moon rises very big
Like a big ball and lights up the alley
You hear the meow of the sad widowed cat
And its furry back bristles with horror
But there is always someone who throws a shoe
That turns into a shot to shut him up
And on the eaves of the mystical roof
The cat has complained singing this song
Cat:
To cure my lovesickness
The doctors said there was no salvation
Now they call me widowed cat
Because a female cat was able to take away my manhood
Before I used to get money
To buy my ice cream, my movie and my soccer ball
Now with what has happened to me
I am colder than a popsicle
With this sad and meowing serenade
The night is a drag, the bravest can't sleep
An old lady came out with fireworks, cream, and a robe
And asked the cat to have mercy
But the lady is playing hard to get
Because the boss says not to give him any more treats
The poor cat is paying the price
Here comes another shoe and another song
Cat:
To cure my lovesickness
The doctors said there was no salvation
Now they call me widowed cat
Because a female cat was able to take away my manhood
Before I used to get money
To buy my ice cream, my movie and my soccer ball
Now with what has happened to me
I am colder than a popsicle
