Var jag går
Christer Sjögren
Wherever I go
Wherever I go, in forests, mountains and valleys,
A friend follows me, I hear his voice.
Though invisible he is, but he speaks,
Sometimes warning, sometimes comfort.
It is the good Shepherd. Though he was once dead,
He lives for all eternity.
His sheep he follows, cares for, feeds
With unspeakable faithfulness.
Everything we need for eternity,
Everything forever we have in our friend.
Everything that can grieve our hearts here,
He knows and helps it again.
Often dear friends disappear,
But he himself said: A little while,
Then a while again, and I am near,
Then joy and peace return.
Then a while again, and I am near,
Then joy and peace return.
