Swimming Pool
In the backyard
I built the swimming pool she asked for
There, how many afternoons
The blue waters kissed her body
She left
And from the last bath I kept the waters
That warmed her body
And perfumed the whole pool
The Sun's rays
Made her body reflect on the waves
Calling her name
Crazy in despair, I jump into it
I swim aimlessly
Sobbing in tears, embracing the waters
In the sweet illusion
That in that embrace I embrace her
Swimming pool
That keeps a secret
Every morning
She bathed
Always courting
Her fairy body
Every dawn
The Sun awaited her
Even if I had dried up the pool
It wouldn't matter
It would be full with all my tears
That I now shed
Pool water, you wash everything
You just don't wash away the sorrow
That is in my heart for living far away
From the one I love so much
The lifeless leaves that the wind drags
Along the pool
Clearly show the neglect and sad abandonment
Of those who live there
I am also a leaf
Swept away by the long broom of time
I am a dry pool
In the Sun of the longing for the love I lost
Swimming pool
That keeps a secret
Every morning
She bathed
Always courting
Her fairy body
Every dawn
The Sun awaited her
Swimming pool
That keeps a secret
Every morning
She bathed
