Prejudices
Walking calmly through life I go
And suddenly some stares catch my eye
They seem to know me well but then they back off
For no reason, no why
I found out they’re saying bad things about me
Things so bad that even I was shocked
Surely they had no reason to judge
Without even talking
How far will I go
I don’t know
I just know I won’t fall for your games
They’re just words that come and go
I won’t carry their prejudices
The calendar keeps burning through many more months
Shining is the one who works hard to spread it to others
Watch out and you need to stay away from him
It seems you have nothing better to do
Something better or something that might help you grow
'Cause it seems you think that by putting others down
You’ll somehow be great
How far will you go
Yes, I know
Judging other people without knowing
It’s so simple not to judge and start to accept
That by knowing, the prejudice will fade
I don’t plan to wear any mask today
Nor tomorrow, 'cause I might forget
That light and colors that the Sun gives us
And I won’t hide in the shadow of the one
Who, out of fear of hurting others, acts so cruel
Acts so cruel
How far will I go
I don’t know, I just know I won’t fall for your games
They’re just words that come and go
I won’t carry their prejudices
How far will you go
Yes, I know
Judging other people without knowing
It’s so simple not to judge and start to accept
That by knowing, the prejudice will fade
That by knowing, the prejudice will fade
