Fio de Escarlate

A sinful and lonely woman
Was supported through her faith
When once in Jericho
She saved two men, spies of Joshua

Only a scarlet thread translated
The deliverance that she deserved
Scarlet is red, the color of blood
Symbolizing, thus, the blood shed on the cross!

How is it in your house, brother?
Is it shining like the light?
If in your house there is a scarlet thread
It is the sign that portrays the holy blood of Jesus

In Egypt, this blood protected
A great people; this is proven!
The Bible tells us that none of them perished
Because the marvelous sign was there!

In each house there was the blood of the lamb
Passing the angel, he saw that peace reigned there
It's like the blood of Jesus in our lives
And we do not fear the arrows of Satan
