Definitely, life is like a song
A song we don't want to end
Like when we don't want the party to be over
A song of love or heartbreak
Of stories to be sung and told
In a way that they stay in our minds sometimes until our last day
Because even the deaf carry the music of the heart inside
And so, when that music stops, life ends
I've heard songs that talk about urban legends
Songs about someone who had their heart broken or someone trying to conquer one
Sung by a vocalist, a duo, a trio, or sometimes a whole band
But to be honest, I had never heard a song that speaks of love and heartbreak
Of a story that needs to be sung
A song that I will sing until my voice gives me the last breath
The song of an urban legend
A song like yours, who is in prison, who is far from the people you love
Like you who went through or are going through hunger
Or like you who were betrayed, but still believe there are people worth it
Who do whatever it takes to move forward
And every day you add another line to the song of your life
Life without music would be a mistake
And in this world, we are all a small musical note of a classic piece that plays in every corner of the planet where the stars illuminate us like spotlights before going on stage
It's time to sing a song that was written in a neighborhood like many in Mexico
A popular song
But one that I wrote with blood, sweat, and tears dreaming of making it sound in every corner of the world
This is my song.
